Blurb type thing

Have you seen the way he acts sometimes? And when you ask he'll say that he's okay. Have you seen how well he pretends? Laughs out loud before he looks away.

"Lauri?" You spoke my name softly, timidly, and I heard a slight rustle of blankets as you sat down upon your bed.

"Mm?" I responded, my attention still focused upon my lyrics, and a slight frown crossed my face as I re-read something that I had just written, and I lowered my pen to the page once again to cross it out.

I could tell you were watching me. I could almost feel your gaze as it swept across my body as it so often did, lingering on my face as you waited for me to turn my attention to you. When I didn't, you continued:

"Do it again."

At this, my gaze flickered upwards from my jotter and found you where you were seated several feet away. It was only then that I realised how little you were wearing; only a white bath towel tied around your waist hid your modesty. I couldn't help but let my eyes scan the smooth contours of your chest, the taut flesh of your completely flat stomach, travelling downwards to your long slender legs before flicking back up to your face once more.

"Sorry?" I managed to get out, somehow keeping my voice level.

You sighed slightly and closed your eyes, then slowly took a deep breath in and opened them again. Your expression was faintly troubled, anxiety flickering in your stunning azure eyes.

"Do it again." You repeated softly, watching me expectantly.

I hesitated. I scrutinized your expression carefully for a moment, trying to determine whether you are actually being serious, but no hint of a doubt could be found. Sighing inwardly, I closed my songwriting jotter and set it to one side, then pulled myself up from the sofa. I walked slowly as I made my way over to where you were seated, approaching you cautiously so that you had the chance to tell me to back off if you wanted to, but you made no attempt to do so. Instead, a small smile tugged at the corners of your lips as I crouched down in front of you, placing my hands upon your legs whilst looking up into your eyes.

"I knew you would." You almost whispered and your smile grew. You gently took my hands in yours, fiddling absently with my fingers, "You understand."

You started to hum quietly to yourself and turned my hand over, a slight shiver running through my body as you traced your soft fingertips across my palm. Slowly, uncertainly, you released one of my hands, and raised your own to place it across my cheek, locking your eyes with mine. You craned your head down towards me until your beautiful face was level with mine and then you paused, watching me.

"Jonne..." I murmured and that smile flickered across your face once more, "Jonne, I-"

"Shhh..." You hushed me, running your thumb gently across my cheek, automatically knowing what I was going to say, "I'm not afraid. I want you. I need you. You understand."

With these words, you covered my lips with your own in a soft, delicate kiss. Your lips were warm against mine and I could feel the true sincerity behind your kiss, the intense feeling that burnt itself upon me. Such a sensation caused me to gasp and a fleeting grin crossed your face at my murmurings of protest as you pulled away from me.

"Is it wrong?" All traces of humour vanished and your expression became serious, "For me to want you like this? You have helped me through so much, more than you can ever realise. You've been there for me when no one else has. How can it be wrong for me to be so irrevocably in love with you after all you've done for me?"

I blushed and that smile drifted across your lips. You had never admitted your love for me before and I could not help but wonder what caused you to do so now.

"No, it's not wrong." I assured you softly as I saw that you were waiting for an answer, "And don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It was something almost inevitable, just like my falling for you."

You smiled somewhat sadly and glanced away from me, embarrassed.
